Time to go to work

Good evening, Doctor. The Heart Team is still in flight, Estimated Time of Arrival is one hour and sixteen minutes. Dr. Smith called in from the plane and he says that the heart looks good and seems to be handling the transport well.  I called Al Montgomery at the airport myself, he knows our plane is coming in with a transplant organ and they’ll have priority to land.  Most of the team is already here and Operating Room One is being prepped for the procedure.

I just got off the phone with the Transplant Center nurse, she says the patient arrived safely and everything is on schedule. They are waiting for you to come down and talk to the family for a few moments before they sedate him. Then we’ll get scrubbed in and we can give this young man a new heart.

Don’t worry, I know this is your first time as the lead surgeon. I’ll be right there with you.

So… if your computer has Shockwave and you think you have what it takes to transplant a heart, click the link!
