A personal request

99.9% of the time, I write about defective hearts. Not tonight.

I met a young lady named Laura while in college and we are friends to this very day. A month or so ago I got an email from her; her father has been battling cancer for quite a while now. He’s put up a brave fight, but the cancer is starting to win. He’s comfortable and is being cared for, and feels that his tasks here on Earth have been fulfilled.

With Laura’s permission, I ask all my readers to please keep the family in your thoughts: that he will be comfortable for all of the days that he has been granted; and for the family, that in their time of sadness they’ll recall a life well lived.

With love to Laura and her family;

    Good for you to keep all of our “heart issues” in check. Many of the heart kiddos and adults are living fairly normal lives at times. I’m glad you have the heart to give prayer, emotion, and support to others, no matter the issue.

    Prayers for Laura’s dad and all of their family!
