    What is the difference between US and Iraq that would cause such a difference in the numbers? Has there been any research on the causes?

    Those are some horrifying numbers!

      The article with Dr. Novick’s estimate places the blame on malnutrition, intra-family marriage, and Saddam Hussein’s chemical warfare against the Kurds after the first Gulf War.
